PASUGO February 2012

PASUGO God's Message
February 2012, Volume 64

"As far as God the Almighty is concerned, He forcefully declared: 'I alone know the plans I have for you, plans to bring you prosperity and not disaster, plans to bring about the future you hope for.' (Jer. 29:11 TEV)

"Implementation of God's plan entails that men be gathered together as members (Rom. 12:4-5, Ibid.) in one body or Church (Col. 1:18, Ibid.), the name of which is Church Of Christ (Acts 20:28, Lamsa Translation).'

"That fold or flock that Jesus purchased with His redemptive blood is the Church Of Christ (Acts 20:28, Lamsa).

"Membership in the Church Of Christ, then, is the first step in satisfying God's intention.

"... God's people, members of the Church Of Christ, knowingly understand that the hardships and troubles in life they go through in their journey in this world are just 'learning experiences' and that tomorrow will always be better."

"Life in this world means that there will always be bad news, setbacks, failures, disasters, horrors, and despair... so members of the Church Of Christ can springtly continue their forward march to salvation and eternal life."
PASUGO God's Message, "Optimism in time of pessimism", pp. 1-2, (by Richard J. Rodas, Editor-in-Chief).

------------------------------------------------------------

"Through love takes many shapes and forms in loving others and in loving the brotherhood in the Church, among others, there is a kind of love--immeasurable, boundless, unfailing, and enduring-- which only our Lord God can offer.

"Jesus commanded us to love others as we love ourselves (Matt. 22:39). But love is more than just a word... it is commitment, conduct, action, and attitude.  It should be backed up by concrete deeds-- kindness to strangers, respect for the elderly, helping the poor and the downtrodden, not talking behind someone's back..."

"To prove to all that they are really His disciples, Christ commanded His followers to 'love one another' (John 13:34-35).  Thus, members of the Church Of Christ regard one another as brothers (or sisters, as the case maybe)..."

"By placing a high premium on loving the brotherhood, God's people prove that they are true servants of Christ and are worthy of God's promise (I Pet. 3:8-10, 12-13)."

"God demonstrated His great love through Christ (John 3:16) in that, although all men have fallen into sin and thus have been awaiting eternal punishment on Judgment Day (Rom. 5:12, 6:23; Rev. 20:14), He sent His beloved Son to give them chance to be redeemed with His blood."

"... not all people have been redeemed by Christ with His blood.  God accorded the Church Of Christ only His great love since it is the only Church redeemed by Christ with His blood (Acts. 20:28, Lamsa Translation)"

"Being the beneficiaries of God's perfect and immeasurable love... most of all, for being redeemed through the blood of Christ and thus be saved from God's wrath come Judgment Day, it is only reasonable that Church members prove their love to Him by obeying His commandments (I John 5:3)."

"Fulfilling this mission to win people over to the true Church is no ordinary undertaking because in so doing, they are saving souls, pulling them out of the fire... God Himself wants all men to be saved..."

"... the task of snatching or rescuing as many souls as possible from the fire is made more urgent and immediate."

Above all, if people take the opportunity to benefit from God's unfailing love by joining the true Church Of Christ, salvation and eternal life await them on the nearing day of Judgment."
PASUGO God's Message, "God's Great Love", pp. 3-5, (by Roland A. Aguirre)

[Since Jesus is just a man, would it be acceptable for the INC™ if the word "Father" (God) is replaced with "Jesus" using the same attributes to God (words in parenthesis and all emphasis are mine) without an iota of doctrinal error? -CD2000]

POEM: Here I am, my Father (Jesus)

Here I am, my Father (Jesus)
I clasp my hands upon my chest (Jesus)
I lift my heart to Thee, O Father (Jesus)
I bend my knees and bow in pray'r; (Jesus)
Tears run down and keep on  falling (Jesus)
Like a river without end (Jesus)
But even when no words were uttered (Jesus)
I know, I know, You understand (Jesus)
My aches, my joys, my sufferings (Jesus)
My courage, enduring faith (Jesus)
In living, loving, losing (Jesus)
In stumbling and standing straight. (Jesus)

Here I am, my Father (Jesus)
Forgive me; hear my plea (Jesus)
Though I have erred, I've never dared (Jesus)
To disobey nor anger Thee; (Jesus)
In weakness, I have fallen (Jesus)
In doubt, I lost my path (Jesus)
But You are kind and forgiving (Jesus)
To a humble, contrite heart. (Jesus)

Here I am, my Father (Jesus
I feel Thy presence great (Jesus)
Shudder I, in fear and awe (Jesus)
I feel Thy bounteous grace; (Jesus)
O look at me, my Father (Jesus)
I thank Thee endlessly (Jesus)
My life is filled with so much beauty (Jesus)
My strength I use in serving Thee (Jesus)
I spend my time with the chosen (Jesus)
To nurture love and unity (Jesus)
To worship Thee together and (Jesus)
Together fight the enemy. (Jesus)

"In Pembo... in the city of Makati... a... worship building of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ)... was dedicated to the Almighty on December 16, 2011.

"... the Executive Minister began his Bible-based homily by reminding the brethren... for each Church member to become worthy of receiving salvation on Judgment Day.

"The Executive Minister cited Apostle Paul's warning to the first century Church Of Christ not to follow Eve's example..."

"For a servant of God not to share the same fate, the Executive Minister enjoined all the brethren to follow the example of the Lord Jesus Christ. He was tempted... yet the Lord Jesus Christ emerged victorious...  The Lord Jesus Christ was able to do this because He held on firmly to the words of God... "

"Members of the Church Of Christ need not worry, because the Lord Jesus Christ will bless them with the [sic] His powers so that they will remain strong and steadfast in serving the Almighty Father..."

"The Bible identified the servants of the Lord God who are certain of having their names written in the Book of Life.  They are the members of the Church who have preserved through extreme hardships, trials, and tribulations-- still faithfully praising and serving God whatever they experienced..."

"Keynoting that 2012 has been designated for the Church's intensive propagation of the gospel, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo... taught that the success of the Church's missionary endeavors... lie in their faithful obedience of God's commandments and instructions."

"...Brother Eduardo disproved the wrong notion that one can still succeed even if he violates the will of God.  He added that all Church workers should also obey the instructions handed down by the Church Administration..."

"... Brother Eduardo disproved the wrong  notion that one can still succeed even if he violates the will of God.  He added that all the Church workers should also obey the instructions  handed down by the Church Administration..."

"Brother Eduardo cited the experience of the first-century Church Of Christ which grew tremendously when all the members submitted themselves completely to God and the Church Administration."

"...[Eduardo] added that bearing fruit is not only confined to having someone baptized in the Church but, as what may brethren have been doing also by giving or handing out Pasugo: God's Message magazine..."

"Brother Eduardo then exhorted the congregation to always ask for the Holy Spirit in their prayers..."

"Sixty men were added to the Church's global ministerial force, bringing to 1,140 the total of ministers who have been ordained since January 2010-- which translates to roughly 43 ministers per month, or about 10 ministers a week-- quite a welcome in contrast to the mass exodus of priests from the Catholic Church (some 20,000 left the priesthood during the last 50 years in the United States alone), as author Donald B. Cozzens recounted in his book entitled, 'The Changing Face of Priesthood: A Reflection on the Priest's Crisis of Soul'."

"Brother Eduardo reminded the brethren that members of the Church Of Christ in these last days are God's chosen servants (Isa. 43:5-6, 10). As such, they are also assured of success that are nothing short of awesome..."

"The first dedication was with holy water. The second was with tears.
When Holy Rosary  Catholic Church was established in 1893, church leaders sprinkled holy water around the sanctuary of the fine brick edifice. Wednesday, 119 years later, the church building was dedicated as the newest church for Iglesia Ni Cristo (Filipino for Church of Christ)..."

"Many had come to see and hear the denomination's leader, Executive Minister "Brother" Eduardo V. Manalo, who flew in from the church's headquarters in the Philippines."

"The dedication service itself, nearly all in Filipino, consisted of much singing, some praying, a monetary collection and an hourlong homily by Manalo... English-speaking visitors listened through translation headsets."
